Summer Updates

It’s been quite a busy year! A few highlights so far:

In April, I successfully defended my thesis, entitled “Transitioning to Sustainable Civil Infrastructure Systems: Green Stormwater Management and Engineering Design Thinking.”

I was honored to receive Syracuse University’s 2017 Chancellor’s Citation for Excellence in Student Research, which recognizes collaborative research that has the potential to make a deep and lasting impact on society, as well as an award for Outstanding Achievement in Graduate Study from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.

It was bittersweet to end my studies at Syracuse University. I feel very fortunate to have worked with so many bright scholars in the Davidson lab and across SU. I look forward to continuing my research and teaching career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at RIT’s Golisano Institute for Sustainability!

  1. Congratulations, Carli! Have you done a blog post here or any other writing for the general public summarizing your dissertation research? It sounds like the kind of thing that could have some general appeal right now in the context of conversations about policies for infrastructure design and maintenance.

    1. Thanks, Christina! I haven’t but that’s a great idea. Now that I’m out of dissertation wiritng mode I’ve had a lot of ideas for new blog posts – this sounds like a good topic to start with!
